The Opportunity Eligibility: Applicants must be Australian citizens and be eligible to obtain and maintain an active Australian Government Defence security clearance at the level required for the position. As a Senior V&V Engineer, you will be part of a high-performing team responsible for delivering robust verification outcomes across complex, integrated systems within a modern, digitally enabled engineering environment. You’ll play a key role in ensuring system performance, quality, and mission readiness by driving verification activities across the full engineering lifecycle. Key Responsibilities Own and contribute to V&V artefacts including V&V Plans, VCRM, and Acceptance Test Plans Plan and execute system-level verification activities across complex integrated environments Maintain end-to-end traceability from requirements through to verification evidence Support system integration and incremental verification for AIR6500 JABMS capability Collaborate with Systems Engineering, Test & Evaluation, Quality, and program stakeholders Contribute to continuous improvement of V&V frameworks, processes and tools Develop a deep understanding of system architecture, operational capability, and mission requirements What you'll bring You are a seasoned V&V Engineer who brings a strong systems-thinking mindset and thrives in complex Defence environments. You are proactive, detail-oriented, and confident working across multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality outcomes. To succeed in this role, you’ll bring: A degree in Engineering or equivalent relevant experience. Significant experience in V&V, Systems Engineering, Integration or Test & Evaluation Strong experience developing and executing system-level verification strategies and plans Experience working in complex, system-of-systems environments Knowledge across Defence domains such as C2, Command Support or ISR Experience with MBSE tools (e.g. DOORS, Rhapsody, ETM) Experience working within Agile/Scrum development environments Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills Active NV1 security clearance and ability to handle Export Controlled material Proficient in AI prompting as it applies to this position and practice Don't meet every requirement?
