Procurement Lead – Logistics PPG Clayton PPG is an American Fortune 500 company and global supplier of paints, coatings, and specialty materials. We are currently seeking a Procurement Specialist to define and implement strategies for the packaging category across ANZ by administering contracts, ensuring best value for money and strengthening stakeholder relationships to optimise operational and business goals. We are seeking a Procurement Lead to support and implement sourcing strategies for Logistics, Warehousing and 3PL services across ANZ. The role is responsible for delivering sustainable cost savings, improving contract coverage and compliance, managing supplier relationships, reducing supply chain risk, and ensuring logistics providers support PPG's operational and customer service objectives.
Responsibilities
Develop and execute sourcing events for transport, warehousing, 3PL, freight forwarding, customs brokerage and related logistics services across ANZ Identify, validate and implement annual cost reduction initiatives through competitive tendering, network optimisation, freight mode analysis, and supplier negotiations. Establish and manage a pipeline of savings projects and track realisation against annual procurement targets. Improve contract coverage across all logistics and warehousing spend categories, ensuring key suppliers operate under formal agreements. Ensure contracts contain appropriate service levels, pricing mechanisms, risk mitigation clauses, and performance obligations. Manage contract renewals, extensions and supplier transitions to avoid service disruptions. Monitor supplier compliance with contractual obligations and identify opportunities for standardisation. Ensure performance results and activities are communicated weekly, monthly, and quarterly for the various internal and external stakeholders Manage day-to-day relationships with external providers and internal stakeholders Ensure active commitment to PPG policy and best practice Skills and Experience 5 years’ working experience in procurement, leading tenders and negotiations for transport, warehousing, or 3PL services.
