In this role you will have the opportunity to manage the design, development and qualification of new programs while conforming to customer requirements (quality), and delivering them on time and within budget. You will be expected to engage and direct the activities of a cross-functional team of technical professionals including Design Engineers, Designer/Draftsmen, Technical Writers, Configuration Control Specialists, and Staff Scientists as necessary to provide technical direction, project management, and leadership for your assigned programs. You will also be expected to work closely with sales, program management, operations, scientific laboratory services, and external suppliers, providing leadership as necessary to ensure the success of your assigned programs. This position requires access to export-controlled commodities, technical data, technology, software, and services. U.S. citizenship, U.S. legal permanent resident status, protected person status, or U.S. Government export authorization is required. Any offer of employment is contingent upon Pall obtaining the necessary employment visa and export authorization, including, if required, an export license from the applicable U.S. government agency. In this role, you will have the opportunity to: Lead cross functional teams, generate, and check mechanical designs for fluid-system products that meet customer specifications and provide safe, reliable, robust, manufacturable, serviceable, and maintainable solutions. Drives continuous improvement and VAVE initiatives. Ensures that improvements have a strategic impact on time and cost optimization. Identification of new technologies and processes wherever possible, which reduces costs and increases efficiency. Participate and lead troubleshooting and problem-solving activities with customers and suppliers on product technical issues. Develop advanced products and processes, applying deep understanding of scientific and engineering principles. Actively coaches and mentors a team of engineers, fostering their development and growth. The essential requirements of the job include: Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, aerospace engineering, or a closely related engineering discipline and 8 years of experience in mechanical design engineering for aerospace fluid-system products, pressure-containing components, manifolds, housings, aerospace hardware, or comparable engineered products. Strong knowledge of mechanical design principles, specification of materials and components for fluid systems and integration of multiple manufacturing processes into complex designs and
