The Cell Leader (CL) is the primary supervisor and team executor within a production or depot manufacturing environment. The successful candidate will report to the Value Stream Leader (VSL) and be accountable for the daily execution and a member of a cross functional team which includes the Value Stream Leader, Production Support team (ME, PTE, IE, QE, PC) and Production engineering/test support team. The CL will be tasked to execute operational schedules, priorities, goals while collaborating with functional management to allow for continuous manufacturing of line-flow or end-item products. Additionally, the CL will have accountability for production, depot deliveries, and direct daily supervision of bargaining unit team members. This position involves direct support of manufacturing activities and requires spending significant amounts of time in and around factory areas. The candidate must be capable and willing to work extended hours (when required) in a fast-paced deadline driven environment. The ideal candidate will possess the demonstrated skills and experience necessary to perform in both manufacturing and technical leadership roles.
What You Will Do
Experience leading a bargaining‑unit aerospace manufacturing workforce. Hands‑on mastery of SAP‑based production control and factory performance metrics. Practical application of Lean Manufacturing and visual factory systems. Structured root‑cause analysis and rapid problem‑solving techniques. This is a second shift position.
Qualifications
You Must Have Typically requires a University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum of five (5) years prior relevant experience, or An Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum three (3) years' experience. Experience with either manufacturing or operations. Experience leading a team or managerial experience. U.S. Citizen - The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
Qualifications
We Prefer Lean/Continuous Improvement experience (5S, standard work, takt analysis). Experience in a unionized manufacturing environment. Knowledge of HPU, EAC, and performance metrics. Experience improving workflow and factory throughput. Strong interpersonal and cross‑functional communication skills.
