To assist the department and hospital in meeting state and local health codes and hospital quality and accreditation standards through procedures which insure acceptable standards of quality and cleanliness. Duties include routine cleaning of windows, walls, floors, fixtures and furnishings; disposal of ordinary and contaminated refuse; disinfecting of contaminated areas; bacteriological surface cleaning; pertinent infection control procedures.
