Location: McCalla, AL | Uncrustables Manufacturing Plant Work Arrangements: 100% On-site Willingness to work extended hours and flow to the work as needed In this role you will: Responsible for coaching and development of the Utilities Team including setting objectives/master planning, performance appraisals, career development/succession planning, and ongoing performance management Support and help lead the McCalla Process Safety Management (PSM) and Risk Management Programs. Ensure compliance with all applicable regulatory requirements across facilities/utilities systems. Provide technical leadership and direction to successfully deliver operational initiatives, and continuous improvement efforts Ensure all insurance related requirements for facility and utility systems are met and maintained Develop and manage the departmental budget Own, maintain, and execute the facilities/utilities master plan Help deliver plant sustainability goals (energy, water, and waste reduction) Help train and develop facilities/utilities system owners Work with plant Business Continuity Planning (BCP) and Emergency Management System (EMS) owners to provide the Facility/Security BCP/EMS leadership and communication Oversee the planning and execution of utilities maintenance activities Drive continuous improvements by eliminating utilities-related downtime (boilers, HVAC, air compressors, ammonia refrigeration, glycol systems, wastewater, bakery ovens, etc.) Maintain all building infrastructure and grounds Coach and mentor technicians and work closely with technical and operations teams to deliver results Use plant CMMS for all maintenance planning and scheduling Ensure work order and PM completion and effectiveness Manage vendor relationships and ensure accountability What we’re looking for:
Minimum Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in engineering preferred At least 7 years of engineering experience is preferred Previous experience in utilities and/or process controls technologies is required At least 2 years of experience supporting operations in a manufacturing facility is required Additional skills and experience that we think would make someone successful in this role: Previous experience in the food industry is preferred Direct the efforts of a team including engaging team members and enabling the team’s success Proven people/organizational development skills are required Work effectively with individuals and teams across the organization Ability to define a problem statement, identify root cause, and develop/implement systemic corrective actions Establish priorities and communicate clearly and effectively verbally and in writing Strong technical background (Controls, HVAC, Mechanical, etc.) Problem solving and trouble -shooting capability Solid inter-personal skills The Right Place for You We are bold, kind, strive to do the right thing, we play to win, and we believe in a strong community that thrives together.
