About this role
The Sr. Product Analyst supports the lifecycle management of catalog content, from vendor data intake through publication and retirement of listings. This role uses data to understand how technicians, retailers, and end consumers in both the DIY and DIFM segments search for and select parts, and works closely with catalog business stakeholders, engineering, and vendor management to ensure the catalog is accurate, complete, and easy to shop against fitment (year/make/model/engine) attributes. The Sr. Product Analyst also takes on greater ownership of catalog release prioritization, cross-functional coordination, and mentorship of junior analysts. This is an on-site position located in Springfield, MO. Remote work is not an option for this position. Responsibilities and Duties: Monitor all aspects of the parts catalog lifecycle, including long- and short-term catalog development strategy and promotion of catalog features. Perform analyses to stay abreast of fitment and marketplace trends and ensure the catalog's competitive position. Define and deliver catalog data structures, attribute taxonomies, and fitment logic that meet vendor and end-user needs by selecting the best possible approaches within established data standards (e.g., ACES/PIES). Deliver defined features, functionality, or outcomes from a designated part of the catalog data ingestion and publication program, selecting the best available approach within established systems. Research catalog usage data, DIY/DIFM customer behavior, and market trends to identify opportunities for catalog content improvement. Explore catalog data quality issues or gaps — such as fitment mismatches, vendor feed errors, or attribute inconsistencies — establishing potential causes, barriers, and related issues. Execute the development plan for new catalog features or vendor integrations, managing project schedules, identifying risks, and communicating to project stakeholders. Collect, analyze, and interpret large datasets related to catalog usage, fitment lookup behavior, and market trends to uncover user needs, pain points, and opportunities for catalog improvement. Edit catalog content in line with organizational style and data guidelines and prepare information for publication. Lead testing and reporting on AI initiatives applied to catalog data ingestion and publication (e.g., automated attribute mapping, fitment matching, and content generation), documenting accuracy, exceptions, and areas needing human review, and recommending adjustments to improve reliability. Plan and oversee User Acceptance Testing (UAT) for catalog releases, including defining test strategy against fitment accuracy, attribute completeness, image/spec display, and cross-reference (interchange) data prior to go-live. Work within an established project management plan to achieve catalog release and data quality goals. Review the backlog of catalog data and ingestion work for a project and reprioritize work and deployment of project resources to reduce costs and increase the value of the work delivered to the business. Provide advice, training, and assistance to catalog business stakeholders and clients to resolve complex fitment and catalog data queries, ensuring capabilities are well understood and implemented in the context of the business. Demonstrate the most valuable catalog and fitment features; lead a team of demo specialists to bring the highest value to customers during demonstrations. Develop own capabilities by participating in assessment and development planning activities as well as formal and informal training and coaching; gain or maintain external professional accreditation, where relevant, to improve performance and fulfill personal potential. Maintain an understanding of catalog data standards (e.g., ACES/PIES), automotive fitment concepts, and industry best practices through ongoing education, attending conferences, and reading specialist media.
