As a Technical Program Manager at Google, you lead complex, multi-disciplinary engineering projects using your engineering expertise. You plan requirements with internal customers and usher projects through the entire project lifecycle. This includes managing project schedules, identifying risks and clearly communicating them to project stakeholders. You're equally at home explaining your team's analyses and recommendations to executives as you are discussing the technical trade-offs in product development with engineers. Using your extensive technical and leadership expertise, you manage projects of various size and scope, identifying future opportunities, improving processes and driving the technical directions of your programs. As a Technical Program Manager (TPM), you will support the Antigravity team at DeepMind. In this role, you will work deep within our product team and partner organizations serving as the critical connective tissue between engineering, research, and platform infrastructure. You will navigate ambiguous environments, manage various technical challenges, and accelerate the development of next-generation Generative AI technologies. In this role, you will be a super-user of implementing AI workstreams into day to day workflows, will have an experience in a similar environment and can quickly pivot to manage complex, cross-functional efforts as needs evolve. Partner closely with research and engineering teams to support end-to-end workflows. Act as a key collaborator to streamline velocity, manage infrastructure/compute resources, and resolve technical or infra-related blockers, and pivot to high priority workstreams as needed. Lead complex, multi-disciplinary programs across Antigravity and broader DeepMind teams. Manage interdependencies, drive technical alignment, and accelerate project velocity in an ambiguous, fast-moving Research and Development environment. Drive technical solutions for critical, high-priority issues as they arise (such as handling compute resource allocation, triaging urgent technical risks, and coordinating ad-hoc system integrations). Facilitate seamless communication across organizational boundaries. Align various technical stakeholders on project goals, manage risks, and translate complex research initiatives into clear, actionable technical plans.
Minimum qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience. 5 years of experience in technical program management, software engineering, or research engineering in a machine learning or technical software environment. Preferred qualifications: 8 years of advanced Research and Development (R&D) experience navigating complex developer tools, lifecycles, and technical infrastructure.
