What We Need:   The Sr Automation Engineer is a high performing contributor that serves as a subject matter expert that works to facilitate and support the  Engineering  function and relevant projects by designing, implementing, and maintaining automated systems and processes.   What You'll Do:

Configure and integrate automation components such as sensors, actuators, and communication protocols.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand automation requirements and translate them into technical specifications.

Create intuitive and user-friendly interfaces for operators to monitor and control automated systems effectively.

Integrate different automation components and systems to ensure seamless communication and functionality.

Oversee testing, debugging, and troubleshooting of automation solutions to identify and resolve issues.

Analyze existing processes and identify opportunities for automation to improve efficiency, reduce errors, and enhance overall quality.

Oversee changes to streamline workflows and increase productivity.

Create detailed documentation, including technical specifications, user manuals, and standard operating procedures for implemented automation systems.

Perform accurate analyses, conduct research, and draw meaningful conclusions about potential job/work-area impacts.

Perform high quality analysis reliably.

Find ways to assess and apply innovative ideas to enhance business results.

Successfully lead after-action reviews to identify, document, and share lessons learned.

Collaborate cross-functionally to evaluate technical, system, and process improvements.

Perform other duties as needed.

Bachelor’s degree in a related field.

4-6 years’ relevant experience OR equivalent combination of education and experience.

Requires in-depth conceptual and practical knowledge in own job discipline.

Excellent communication, problem solving, and organizational skills.

Able to multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively.

High level of integrity and discretion in handling sensitive and confidential data.

Proficient using Microsoft Office Suite products.

Flexible attitude, adaptable to change, team player, and able to handle multiple projects at once.

High degree of professionalism, judgment, maturity, and resourcefulness in the absence of formalized guidelines and procedure.

What Else?

Occasional exposure to hazardous conditions caused by noise, moving mechanical parts, airborne particles, and other conditions associated with a high-traffic production floor.

Must be able to walk long distances and stand for long periods of time.

Bending, crouching, and stooping may be required.

Must be able to work in non-climate-controlled facilities.

The work environment may be a noisy, high traffic manufacturing production floor.

May be required to work a flexible schedule to include evening and night shifts, weekends, and holidays.

The ability to wear personal protective gear correctly most of the day.

The ability to lift 50 pounds regularly.
