About this role
*This role has the potential to sit in any US location* Amazon's Reliability Maintenance Engineering (RME) organization is responsible for keeping the material handling equipment, robotics systems, and building infrastructure across our fulfillment network running safely and efficiently. We are a team of technicians, engineers, and program leaders who ensure our operational technology performs at the highest levels - directly enabling Amazon to deliver on its customer promise. RME is undergoing a transformation from reactive to proactive maintenance strategies across the network. This role is central to that evolution - you'll drive the systems, standards, and data-driven programs that enable our shift toward predictive maintenance and operational excellence at scale. As a Senior RME Program Manager, you will own the strategy and execution of our Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) programs across the North American fulfillment network. You'll be the network-level SME responsible for driving standardization, improving PM effectiveness, and enabling local teams with the tools, training, and processes they need to maintain world-class equipment reliability. Key job responsibilities • Be a network level Subject Matter Expert (SME) on the CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System), train and assist the local Reliability Maintenance Engineering Planner and support network initiatives. • Drive RME standards roll-out in North America initiatives and participate in network led projects. • Be a CMMS key user and drive programs to roll out new functionality, procedures, scheduling or reports. Monitor standards implementation through reporting and audits. • Analyze and improve forecasting of preventative maintenance routines to make equipment maintenance less intrusive and more effective. • Compile equipment information, performance metrics and machine histories and make recommendations for improvements based on their findings to the entire network. • Work with the Global Reliability Maintenance Engineering network and initiatives on cost reduction and process improvement for spare parts management, equipment maintenance and maintenance routines. • Ability to Travel up to 50% A day in the life As a Senior RME Planner, no two days look the same. You might start your morning reviewing CMMS dashboards and maintenance reports, identifying trends or gaps in preventative maintenance compliance across the network. By mid-morning, you could be leading a training session with local RME Planners on new CMMS functionality or updated scheduling procedures. Afternoons often involve cross-functional collaboration — partnering with site maintenance teams to analyze equipment performance data, working with Global RME stakeholders on spare parts optimization, or presenting program updates and recommendations to senior leadership. You'll balance hands-on system work (building reports, refining PM routines, auditing standards adoption) with strategic thinking about how to make maintenance across the network more efficient and less intrusive. When you're traveling to sites, you'll be on the ground conducting audits, gathering feedback, and coaching local teams. This role sits at the intersection of technology, data, and operations — ideal for someone who loves solving complex problems at scale.
