Unit Overview The Sterile Processing Department (SPD) plays a critical role in patient safety by ensuring all surgical instruments and supplies are properly sterilized, prepared, and transported. The SPD team works closely with Surgical Services and the Operating Room (OR) to provide reliable support for high-quality patient care.
Position
Summary The Supply Technician supports Surgical Services by transporting and delivering sterile supplies in a safe, efficient, and customer service–oriented manner. This role is responsible for pick-up and delivery of sterile supplies between the Sterile Processing Department (SPD) and the Operating Room (OR). Main Tasks Pick up and deliver sterile supplies between SPD and OR. Maintain accuracy and timeliness in supply delivery. Communicate effectively with OR staff and SPD colleagues to support surgical schedules. Ensure adherence to infection control and safety standards at all times. Assist with organizing and staging supply carts as needed.
