TERMINALS Kinder Morgan is the largest independent terminal operator in North America, providing a strong, reliable network of 139 terminals serving our customers’ storage, distribution, blending and logistical needs.  Our terminals store and handle renewable fuels, petroleum products, chemicals, vegetable oils and other products. We have a combined liquids storage capacity of approximately 141 million barrels and handle about 56 million tons of dry bulk materials annually.    Seeking a motivated and detail-oriented intern to support the Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) team in the Gulf Area Terminals. The intern will assist with initiatives related to industrial hygiene, occupational safety, and universal waste management. This role offers hands-on experience in developing and implementing EHS processes, analyzing data to drive safety improvements, and contributing to area-wide campaigns that enhance the well-being of employees and contractors. Industrial Hygiene: - Develop a chemical approval process incorporating stakeholder input. - Collaborate with SMEs and utilize ProcessMap. Occupational Safety: - Analyze ESO data and identify key trends. - Create concise 'one-page' learning tools. - Support a summer heat campaign with contractor participation in MBWAs. Field Environmental Services (FES): - Assist in aligning universal waste disposal practices. - Identify best management practices (BMPs) and opportunities for vendor consolidation. Other duties as assigned. The successful candidate will be exposed to both operational and EHS aspects of our Terminal business, which includes both liquid and bulk commodity transportation.   What You Need Minimum Requirements: Currently pursuing a degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Safety, Industrial Hygiene, Engineering, or related field. Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills. Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams. Proficiency in Microsoft Office; familiarity with ProcessMap preferred. Able to obtain TWIC upon intern offer and before starting.   Entering Junior or Senior year of college.

Office environment and field work within the terminal. Travel within the Houston area may be required. Additional hours may be required to meet the needs of the region and its customers.
