Janitor - 2nd Shift

Eaton’s IS AER FED division is currently seeking a Janitor - 2nd Shift to join our team in Rumford, RI! The core hours are 3 pm - 11 pm. The hourly rate for this position is $21.38 per hour + $0.60 per hour shift premium. Please note the salary information shown above is a general guideline only. Salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.  The Rumford, RI facility is a unionized location. There is a 60 day probationary period, after which you will be considered a union member and begin paying union dues.    What you’ll do: 
 The Janitor/ Maintenance performs completes various daily and monthly tasks based on a schedule. They complete the daily check sheet, erform snow removal and sanding of walks as required, and water the lawn in spring and summer. They also report troubles, hazards, or unusual conditions to supervisor. They maintain the work areas, equipment, supplies, and tools in clean,orderly, safe and habitual condition. They maintain the 5S standard throughout the facility, observe safety precautions, company rules, and regulations.   In this role, you will: Perform a variety of routine housekeeping and janitorial duties as assigned. Production Area Cleaning: Sweeping, mopping, scrubbing floors (including using floor buffers), wiping down machinery, cleaning windows/partitions, and dusting production equipment. Sanitation & Hygiene: Cleaning and restocking restrooms, kitchens, break rooms, and sanitizing high-touch surfaces like door handles and tools. Waste Management: Efficiently collecting, sorting (trash/recycling), and disposing of waste materials. Industrial Cleaning: Operating specialized equipment (floor scrubbers, power washers) and safely handling industrial cleaning agents/chemicals. Maintenance Support: Changing light bulbs, cleaning air vents, reporting maintenance needs (like plumbing/electrical issues) to management, and performing minor repairs     Qualifications: 
 High School Diploma or GED equivalent from an accredited institution Minimum of 6 months experience as a janitor or maintenance worker Eaton will not consider applicants for employment immigration sponsorship or support for this position. Minimum of 6 months of  Industrial Manufacturing experience Skills: 
  Ability to read and write and to carry out instructions. Ability to make judgement and decisions on janitorial duties.
