Position

Summary We have an opportunity for a Quality Control Associate Scientist I to join our team. In this role, you will perform tasks under close supervision, following detailed instructions and established procedures. You will apply your technical skills to complete assigned work within your group or project team. This position requires a self-motivated, detail-oriented individual who can make decisions, solve problems, and work independently while supporting team members as needed. Shift: Monday to Friday 8am-4pm Location: Kansas City, MO 100% Onsite The Role Collect environmental samples such as water, non-viable particulates, viable particulates, and compressed gasses on a routine basis and perform testing on these samples. Identify results within alert or action limits and notify management as appropriate. Execute laboratory work plans and schedules developed with input from a supervisor or senior team member. Maintain high-quality documentation in accordance with regulatory guidance and site Standard Operating Procedures, recording work in notebooks, forms, and other required formats. Execute procedures or methods of moderate complexity with accuracy and review own work for completeness, identifying minor quality or compliance gaps during lab work. Draft technical documents such as methods or certificates of analysis under direct guidance from a supervisor or senior team member. Perform peer review of routine laboratory documentation and review technical documents for accuracy and thoroughness. Demonstrate laboratory techniques during training and provide shadowing for lab orientation. Assist in efficiency and compliance improvement projects with guidance. Perform all other duties as assigned. The Candidate Minimum Requirements Associate's degree in a related life science or physical science field with 1+ years of relevant work experience required. Strong mathematical and scientific reasoning ability with the capacity to learn and retain technical information. Ability to proactively address work issues at an individual level. Capable of interpreting a variety of instructions in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. Developing core techniques and skills and applying them to new areas of work. Understanding of laboratory-related Good Manufacturing Practices expectations and concepts. Ability to identify out-of-specification data and provide limited interpretation of data. Excellent written and verbal communication skills with internal customers. Able to communicate barriers to management when prompted. Lead by example according to Catalent's values and culture. Understand how daily activities impact the performance of the group, site, and business. Act in the best interests of colleagues, patients, customers, and the organization. Recognize unmet needs within the team. Strong time management and organizational skills with the ability to multitask. Ability to work effectively under pressure to meet deadlines. Physical Requirements

Ability to walk, sit, and stand; use hands to handle or feel; reach with hands and arms at or above shoulder height and below waist height; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; talk and hear; smell; and lift up to 40 pounds during an average 8-hour day. Specific vision requirements include reading written documents, visual inspection of materials, and frequent use of a computer monitor. May require the use of a respirator. Preferred Skills & Background Bachelor's degree in a related life science or physical science preferred.
