We are seeking a Senior Platform Engineer to support the C5I (Command, Control, Communications, Computing, Cyber, and Intelligence) product line within the Missile Defense Sensors (MDS) Software Department. The MDS mission is to provide world‑class Radar and Command and Control (C2) software across an array of surveillance and warning systems. Platform Engineers design, optimize and maintain the secure, scalable, mission‑critical software infrastructure that underpins radar, C2 and DevSecOps‑intensive systems. As a senior leader on our team, you will help shape platform architecture, drive modernization and ensure delivery of robust capabilities that support real‑time mission execution across programs. This role requires deep DevSecOps expertise, technical leadership and the ability to influence architecture and engineering strategy across multiple teams. This position is located onsite in Tewksbury, Massachusetts.
What You Will Do
Implement the platform architecture and modernization strategies for C5I mission systems, including automation, container orchestration and secure platform design. Develop resilient, scalable, and secure platform environments using Linux, Kubernetes, Docker, Terraform, Ansible, Artifactory and related technologies. Work on end‑to‑end DevSecOps workflows to support high‑frequency, high‑quality deployments across MDS programs. Work on CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD) to ensure secure, automated build, test and release processes at scale. Work on cross‑program integration efforts spanning Software, Systems Engineering, Cybersecurity, Platform and Integration & Test teams. Conduct debugging and performance optimization across distributed and containerized environments. Help mentor and guide Platform Engineers, providing technical direction and fostering a culture of learning and collaboration. Provide leadership in Agile Scrum/Kanban environments, supporting planning, estimation and technical execution.

Qualifications
You Must Have Typically requires a Bachelor’s in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 5 years of prior relevant experience unless prohibited by local laws/regulations. Experience in Linux platform engineering and administration.
