The Opportunity
The Opportunity The Military Affairs Representative Mid-level serves as a key liaison, developing and executing strategies to strengthen USAA's presence and relationships within assigned military business areas. This role is crucial in achieving organizational goals by fostering connections with military leaders, affiliate organizations, and community partners. The Representative will drive USAA's brand visibility, enhance member and prospect relations, and implement targeted outreach programs. This position plays a vital role in shaping a positive image of USAA and its comprehensive offerings. Frequent travel is required. This role is remote eligible in the continental U.S. with occasional business travel. However, individuals residing within a 60-mile radius of a USAA office will be encouraged to work on-site four days per week.
What you'll do
Relationship Cultivation and Engagement Build and nurture relationships with senior military installation leadership to identify and execute impactful business opportunity events that benefit military members and their families. Serve as a USAA ambassador, effectively representing all lines of business and their products/services. Engage directly with members and prospects, gathering valuable feedback on issues, successes, and competitive insights to inform senior management. Military Acumen and Education Educate USAA leadership on the nuances of the military community by scheduling and conducting Military Acumen visits. Deliver essential Military 101 training during New Employee Orientations and conduct USAA Financial Readiness Training. Contribute significantly to employees' understanding of critical aspects of military life and culture. Program Development and Execution Collaborate with management and marketing teams to conceptualize and implement initiatives and programs designed to effectively reach target market segments. Analyze past campaign performance, adjusting strategies as needed to ensure alignment with marketing objectives and achieve desired return on investment. Plan, negotiate, and manage installation marketing agreements as a core component of the overall installation marketing plan and strategy, ensuring relevant messaging and optimal placement. Lead the development and execution of initiatives that cultivate a favorable image of USAA and its full spectrum of products and services. Market Analysis and Strategy Analyze market segments, identify emerging trends, and provide strategic recommendations for effective resource utilization to management. Apply broad knowledge of USAA's business products, services, processes, and programs to enhance relationships with leaders, members, and prospects. Financial and Risk Management Manage and execute assigned program expenses within the allocated annual budget. Ensure that all business activities are conducted in accordance with risk and compliance policies and procedures, effectively identifying, measuring, monitoring, and controlling associated risks. What you have:
Education
Bachelor's Degree; OR a combination of 8 years of related experience and no degree.
Experience
