Lockheed Martin Space is seeking a full-time Orion Senior Systems Engineer to be a part of the Artemis and Orion teams taking astronauts to the Moon and beyond. You will be responsible for software kickstarts and network configuration for the Integrated Test Lab, Vehicle Management Computer Test Bench, Support Software Development Lab, and Orion Utility Network Lab. • Maintenance of existing lab configurations • Development for lab upgrades • Troubleshooting and anomaly resolution Performs technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, cost and risk, and supportability and effectiveness analyses for total systems. Analyses are performed at all levels of total system product to include: concept, design, fabrication, test, installation, operation, maintenance and disposal. Ensures the logical and systematic conversion of customer or product requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints. Performs functional analysis, timeline analysis, detail trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into hardware and software specifications. Basic Qualifications • B.S. in Computer Science or related degree from an accredited college/university or equivalent working experience • Demonstrated experience in Redhat operating system, Python, and Linux shell scripting • General networking background • US Citizen is required Desired Skills • Cisco certification • Software lifecycle knowledge/experience • Software configuration management system background (Perforce) • Capable of working in a fast-paced environment with evolving requirements and dynamic schedules • Works effectively independently and as part of a team • Familiarity with Orion spacecraft avionics and ground systems Proficient in AI prompting as it applies to this position and practice Pay Information Full-Time Salary Range: $95900.00 - $178100.00 At Lockheed Martin, we know mission success starts with taking care of our people. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
