Co-op or Intern, M&A and Capital Markets - January 2027

Your Opportunity Our Edmonton, Calgary or Vancouver office is looking for a 8 month Co-op or Intern to join the Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A) team from January to August 2027 and own the following responsibilities:   Prepare pitch-books and presentation documents in connection with business development initiatives   Perform market, industry and company research supporting live engagements   Prepare lists of potential buyers and acquisition targets   Assist with drafting of marketing documentation (i.e. Confidential Information Memorandums)   Assist with various financial analysis as required including financial modelling and comparable company analyses; and   Participate in due diligence processes.     How do we define success for your role?      You demonstrate BDO's core values through all aspects of your work: Integrity, Respect & Collaboration   You understand your clients’ industry, challenges, and opportunities; clients describe you as positive, professional, and delivering high quality work   You identify, recommend, and are focused on effective service delivery to your clients   You share in an inclusive & engaging work environment that develops, retains & attracts talent   You actively participate in the adoption of digital tools and strategies to drive an innovative workplace   You grow your expertise through learning & professional development.     Your experience and education     You are enrolled in a post-secondary business program with an emphasis in accounting or finance   You have a strong interest in Mergers and Acquisitions   You have excellent attention to detail and ability to perform analytical work accurately, often under time pressure   You have developed communication skills and a strong ability to collaborate with team members   You have a strong aptitude for Microsoft Excel   You have the ability to prioritize competing priorities with varying deadlines   You have strong analytical and problem-solving skills in a fast-paced deals environment.   Why BDO?
