What You Will Do
Caterpillar’s Product Support and Logistics Division (PSLD) is seeking a talented Environmental Health & Safety Technician. Representative Activities: Monitor, update, control, or enhance existing business or work processes. Sustainability awareness promotion and activities. EHS training, promotion, and communication to improve employee's awareness and competence. Contribute to development, implementation, and compliance with EHS policies & regulations. EHS related Regulatory collection, evaluation, and communication. Conduct EHS Audits (e.g. LOTO, Fall Protection, Powered Industrial Trucks, etc.) Activities & culture promotion (earth week, safety month, drills, etc.) Assist with EHS recognition program. Work with and assist in any CAT training of new hires or other. Participate in EHS Lean projects and continual improvement. Other EHS related works assigned. Background/Experience: Hard Skills: Hold EHS certification(s)/credential(s) such as or be willing to obtain OSHA 30 General Industry, Occupational Health and Safety Technician (OHST), Safety Trained Supervisor (STS), etc. Over 2 years’ experience in an industrial manufacturing and/or warehousing environment. General computer skills and especially WORD, EXCEL, PPT. Understand local and global EHS standards and regulatory requirements (OSHA, RCRA, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, EPA Regulations). Skilled in root cause analysis. Skilled in applying Lean thinking to identify and improve problems. Soft Skills: Over 2 years’ experience providing EHS expertise Familiar with the basic concepts and processes of EHS management in multinational corporation / enterprises (such as: LOTO, operational changes, risk analysis, emergency response, stakeholder management, special operations, mechanical safety, powered industrial truck safety, electrical safety, battery safety, PPE, sustainability development, etc.) Possess excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with all levels of the organization. Strong communication skills (e.g. win-win skills) Careful and conscientious, with a strong sense of responsibility Strong logical thinking ability, independent judgment and work ability, able to provide effective solutions. The ability to understand and learn quickly. Willing to learn and teach What You Will Get: Starting wage is $25.08/hour (paid bi-weekly)
