The Trade Manager LCL's role is to grow company market share by adding value as a dedicated, knowledge-based development resource. The Trade Manager LCL is the lead authority offering advice, insight, direction, and support on matters concerning the trade lane(s), network & carrier relations, and market activity. The Trade Manager LCL is responsible for owning and driving the Americas Less-than-Container Load (LCL) product strategy, performance, and network. This role designs and enforces a standardized, rules-based network that is consistent, reliable, and easy to price, sell, and operate. The manager ensures strong alignment between Global & Americas product, geography, and business development teams, drives routing compliance and service performance, and holds regional stakeholders accountable for results. Success in this role is defined by delivering scalable network simplicity, improving service reliability, and enabling sustainable global volume growth. Responsibilities include, but not limited to: Product Ownership Define and enforce LCL product standards Ensure one consistent network across all regions Act as the pricing expert and set LCL rates for RFP's and spot quote offerings Network Design Own routing structure (Routing Guide) Reduce complexity and variability Maintain rules-based network design in alignment with Global Product Performance Management Own Americas product KPIs (Gateway turns, routing compliance, inland execution) Drive routing compliance and service reliability Hold regions and cross-product partners accountable for results Regional Leadership Lead, support and set expectations for Americas LCL Involve GEO to support new lanes and improved performance through their districts Commercial Alignment Ensure product is simple to price and sell Align network with sales execution and growth Systems & Process Standardize routing logic and thresholds Build scalable, repeatable decision frameworks Measures of Success Volume growth vs plan Routing compliance Service reliability Network consistency Regional ownership of results Position is required to sit in an Expeditors Branch office if not at CHQ Bellevue. Qualifications Two (2) plus years in an Ocean Product role at Expeditors Three (3) plus years of branch experience at Expeditors Four (4) plus years in a management position at Expeditors Strong communication skills; including written and verbal skills with the ability to communicate key issues quickly and effectively.
