Basic Job Functions:
Nucor Steel-Hertford County is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Warehouse Runner. The successful candidate will be responsible to do the following: assist with area housekeeping and safety efforts; receive, store, inventory and issue parts and consumables from stock for production and maintenance personnel; expedite the plant delivery service; work with computerized systems to perform warehouse functions; perform cycle counts, lead and support safety & continuous improvement projects. While this is a day position, the successful candidate will assist and be responsible for covering rotating shifts and working scheduled and unscheduled overtime. Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times. High School Diploma or equivalent Basic knowledge/skillset of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) Strong communication skills Ability to lift up to 100lbs Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while providing excellent customer service Eligible to work in the United States without company sponsorship Preferred Qualifications:
