Grow Your Skills, Grow Your Potential Responsibilities The Lead Software/Software Engineer (Full Stack) will design, build, and enhance modern full-stack applications that support State Farm's Enterprise Knowledge Management platform. This role spans front-end experiences, backend services, cloud-native development, and AI-enabled capabilities. You'll work across Salesforce, AWS, and modern web technologies to deliver solutions that improve knowledge authoring, search, discovery, and Generative AI experiences.    What You'll Do  •    Design, build, and support full-stack applications using modern engineering practices.  •    Develop user-facing experiences in Salesforce and modern web frameworks such as Angular.  Build and maintain REST APIs, event-driven services, and cloud-native integrations on AWS. •    Develop scalable integrations using services such as Amazon S3, Lambda, EventBridge, API Gateway, SQS/SNS, and related AWS technologies.   •    Build capabilities that operationalize enterprise knowledge authored in Salesforce Knowledge for consumption across State Farm applications.   •    Develop AI-enabled solutions that support knowledge authoring, semantic search, summarization, citation, and other Generative AI use cases.   •    Partner with architects and engineers to integrate Large Language Models (LLMs), Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), vector search, and other emerging AI capabilities into the knowledge platform.   •    Improve application performance, reliability, observability, and operational excellence through automation and monitoring.   •    Collaborate closely with product owners, business partners, UX designers, and fellow engineers to deliver high-value solutions.   •    Participate in the full software development lifecycle, from solution design through implementation, deployment, and ongoing support.

Qualifications

Desired Technical Capabilities  •    Full-stack software development experience.  •    Experience developing modern web applications using Angular, React, or similar frameworks.   •    Experience with Java, JavaScript/TypeScript, Apex, or other object-oriented programming languages.   •    Experience building and consuming RESTful APIs and event-driven architectures.   •    Experience developing cloud-native applications on AWS.   •    Familiarity with services such as Lambda, API Gateway, S3, EventBridge, SQS, SNS, Amazon RDS, CloudWatch, and IAM.  •    Experience with CI/CD pipelines, Git, automated testing, and DevSecOps practices.   •    Knowledge of Salesforce Platform development or Salesforce integrations is a plus.   •    Interest or experience in Generative AI, LLMs, prompt engineering, RAG, semantic search, vector databases, or AI-assisted application development is highly desirable.   •    Strong problem-solving,
