Data Center Strategic Negotiator, AWS Infrastructure - Data Center Supply Solutions (APAC)

In this role you will be part of a team that drives AWS's data center contract negotiations, with a focus on colocation projects. You will play a crucial part in expanding our data center footprint while optimizing costs, keeping apace with evolving data center design, and ensuring operational excellence. The position encompasses comprehensive ownership of both new and existing colocation agreements, including pricing structures, terms, and service level agreements, while developing and implementing market expansion strategies across existing and new markets. The role focuses on structuring deals and serves as the primary contact with colocation providers. The position requires strong market analysis capabilities to evaluate conditions, pricing trends, and competitive landscapes, along with the ability to create and present compelling business cases to senior leadership. Success demands excellence in relationship building, stakeholder management, and driving complex multi-million dollar negotiations while maintaining AWS's competitive advantage in the global cloud infrastructure market. You will work closely with Legal, Finance, Engineering, Operations, and Project Management teams. The role requires a self-starter who is a team player and is not afraid to keep learning. Key job responsibilities • Serve as a key member of the team in driving data center deals and overall infrastructure strategy for target regions • Understand the supplier base (both Colocation providers and Real Estate developers), develop a strong understanding of market dynamics and activity, and develop long-term strategic partnerships in support of our key markets • Set business development plans in-line with the larger organization strategic direction • Negotiate and close multi-million dollar contracts to support capacity expansion • Understand the technical requirements of our engineering teams and negotiate solutions that meet technical requirements as well as the business objectives • Ownership of business case creation and presentation to leadership (including commercial, technical and risk profile) • Prepare and give project reviews to the senior management team regarding progress and deal execution roadblocks • Ability to work in a high-pressure environment and pivot on the fly to changing requirements to manage competing priorities simultaneously • Continue to build a culture of speed, flexibility and frugality with all business partners • Develop and implement new mechanisms to improve our customer experience • Business Travel: 10-20% About the team About AWS Diverse Experiences Amazon values diverse experiences.
