This role follows a hybrid work model, requiring employees to be in our local office at  least five days per week.   Relocation and housing assistance is not available for this position   Boston Scientific will not offer sponsorship or take over sponsorship of an employment VISA for this position at this time       As a  Research & Development Engineering Co-op  you will be tasked with designing and developing innovative, breakthrough next-generation medical devices that improve and extend the lives of patients around the world.  The WATCHMAN division is a worldwide leader in Left Atrial Appendage Closure (LAAC) with the most studied and implanted device portfolio. The latest WATCHMAN FLX Pro device is designed to promote healing, optimize the therapy, and reach more patients. The unit strives to increase patient awareness and physician acceptance through therapy education and clinical evidence.   Your responsibilities will include:

Design, fabricate, and prototype new device designs to address clinical feedback

Develop new and innovative test methods for device performance testing

Assist new product development teams in device development and testing

Research and analyze clinical and market data for new market opportunities

Analyze procedural images and data to improve internal and external educational assets

Required Qualifications

Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree or dual master’s degree majoring in Biomedical or Mechanical Engineering graduating Fall 2027-Spring 2029. Internships are not intended for graduating seniors.
