Location Description Our plant, located in Lansing, IL, pasteurizes raw eggs to remove harmful bacteria for a more safe product to the foodservice industry.

OSITION SUMMARY: The Forklift Operator is responsible for moving materials to and from proper storage areas by operating a Powered Industrial Truck. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: • Assumes personal responsibility to insure a safe and healthy workplace for everyone. Adheres to all safety policies/procedures and incorporates safety and health in all job’s duties/tasks.  • Adheres to safe work practices, follows GMP’s, maintains sanitary conditions and ensures that product quality is maintained. Reports any conditions or practices that may adversely affect employee safety or food safety/quality to management immediately • Attend pre-shift meetings, including stretching as a group. • Drive forklift in a safe and productive manner. • Complete the daily forklift inspection and remove the lift from service if a defect is detected. • Ship and receive product damage free and accurately by completing the Quality Reassurance Checks. • Monitor the floor for safety concerns or infractions and act appropriately. • Complete all documents and paperwork completely and accurately. • Fill customer orders accurately and follow the customer’s special instructions. • Work very closely with the office staff to ensure discrepancies and issues are completed accurately. • Ensure warehouse is organized, clean, damages are taken care of and pallets are off the floor and placed into bins. • Promote teamwork within your team and between teams by communicating in a positive and pleasant manner. • Perform other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION AND EXPEREINCE REQUIRED: • The successful completion of Powered Industrial Truck training program and pass the forklift certification. • Effectively read, write and speak English. • Strong math and configuration is necessary. • Ability to analyze situations and make the best decision which benefits the company without jeopardizing the health and well-being of the employee. • Clean driving record and a valid state motor vehicle operator’s license may be required. PREFERRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS: • High school diploma or G.E.D or an equivalent combination of education and experience
