Job Description
Job Purpose The Senior Quality and Process Specialist will drive the strategic execution of quality assurance, compliance, and continuous improvement across the product lifecycle. You will lead cross-functional initiatives bridging production, R&D, engineering, and customer service. Utilizing data-driven insights from advanced Power BI dashboards, you will safeguard product integrity, ensure regulatory compliance, and foster a culture of operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
1. Production Support & Non-Conformance Management Failure Resolution: Facilitate internal product and material non-conformance investigations using the Power BI "Product Failures" dashboard. Field Failure Analysis: Drive resolution for external customer product failures linked to production via the "Customer Field Failure Analysis of Product" dashboard. Process & Improvement: Provide robust process management and continuous improvement support across manufacturing lines. Success Metrics: Own and report on specific production Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and broader business scorecard metrics. Supplier Scorecards: Develop supplier Scorecards and facilitate regular reviews of these driving supplier CAPA’s through a standardized 8D Process. 2. Quality Control (QC) & Quality Assurance (QA) Support Corrective Actions: Facilitate rapid containment, permanent fixes, and robust Corrective Action Plans (CAPA) for product and material non-conformances. Systemic Oversight: Provide overall process management support to maintain high-standard QA/QC frameworks. CI Leadership: Lead overall continuous improvement initiatives to reduce waste, variability, and defect rates. Success Metrics: Evaluate system health through rigorous KPI tracking and alignment with the business scorecard. 3. Customer Service Quality Support Service Escalations: Facilitate resolution of external product failures relating to service and support via the field failure dashboard. Service Processes: Support customer service teams with process management to improve customer experience and post-sale reliability. Feedback Loops: Drive continuous improvement by translating customer service data into actionable engineering and production upgrades. Success Metrics: Monitor and optimize customer-centric KPIs and service-related business scorecard components. 4. Project, R&D, and Engineering Support Regulatory Compliance: Guide and support various product certification and compliance frameworks, including DO-160, CE, RoHS, and REACH. R&D Failure Analysis: Facilitate internal material and product non-conformance resolution for engineering prototypes and new products via the Power BI dashboard. NPI Field Readiness: Monitor early customer field failures related to R&D/Engineering to optimize the New Product Introduction (NPI) process. Process & Growth: Provide process management and continuous improvement support to the engineering organization. Success Metrics: Track R&D quality metrics, engineering project KPIs, and developmental business scorecards. Global Trade Compliance Regulatory Compliance : Work closely with Global Trade Compliance experts to understand requirements and incorporate relevant controls into quality processes to ensure conformance. Shipping of parts and systems : Ensure that any parts or systems shipped out of facility meet all needed GTC requirements, e.g., Jurisdiction and Classification
