We are currently looking for a ‘Lead Software Engineer’ for Payment Reconciliation Intelligence Program, within B&MI group, to design scalable architecture and lead development of the new business requirements for product used by global B2B customers. Role and Responsibility As a Lead SDE you will design, develop and lead full-stack Java scalable applications with React or Angular as the frontend. • Act as senior most engineers in the team to determine everything from design choices to technical standards, such as platforms and coding standards. • Design and implement software aligned with Mastercard’s Enterprise Architecture and services. Write high-quality, maintainable code that meets business needs and adheres to timelines. • Collaborate with cross functional teams - Product teams to understand the requirements, define product, identify solution, propose ideas and provide technical thought leadership. • Provide detailed cost and time estimates, define technical scope and requirements, and assist project managers in managing scope throughout the project lifecycle. • Ensure system design supports zero downtime in production. • Address operational and business concerns to ensure consistent delivery of quality services. • Lead highly focused team of engineers with an eye on innovation and AI adoption -All About You- Education and professional experience Bachelor's or Master's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline. Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across multiple organizational levels. Around 9 years of work experience in the software engineering role. Technical Expertise Strong proficiency in Java 17+, Spring Boot, Spring Framework, Hibernate, and modern database technologies including Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, Redis, MongoDB, and Elasticsearch. Proven experience designing, developing, and leading applications built on microservices-based architectures. Hands-on experience with messaging and event-driven platforms such as Kafka, RabbitMQ, AWS SQS, or other cloud-native messaging solutions.
