Standard Job Description Location : Littleton, CO Cohort Start : Jan 2027 Training Pay : $17/hr Full-Time Pay : $20/hr if selected Training : 9 weeks, paid, 40hr/wk Training Sched : 9x80, Mon–Fri, 6:00 AM–3:30 PM; working Fri 6:00 AM–2:30 PM, with every other Fri off. Start a career in aerospace manufacturing without prior aerospace experience. AMTAP is a 9-week paid apprenticeship providing classroom and hands-on training to develop skills needed to build space flight hardware. TRAINING & RESPONSIBILITIES You will: • Learn torquing, soldering, point-to-point wiring, precision manufacturing, and aerospace production processes. • Learn to read engineering documents and use tools with small components. • Perform precise work while following detailed work instructions and quality requirements. • Complete written and hands-on training and certification requirements. • Demonstrate the skills and performance needed to successfully complete the program. You may earn industry-recognized certifications, including IPC 620 Cable Harness Certification and J-STD Limited Solder Certification. Lockheed Martin pays for required certifications. FULL-TIME OPPORTUNITIES After successful completion of required certifications and performance expectations, you may be considered for available full-time production opportunities. Full-time employment is not guaranteed and depends on individual performance, successful completion of program requirements, and business needs. If selected for a full-time production role, you must remain in that position for at least 12 months in accordance with Lockheed Martin requirements. Full-time starting pay is $20/hour if selected. WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR No aerospace experience is required. Skills from work, school, hobbies, or everyday life can be valuable. Sewing, knitting, crocheting, soldering, robotics, drones, computers, woodworking, painting, cooking, origami, or other detailed hands-on activities can demonstrate useful skills. Requirements : • High school diploma or equivalent. • Strong hand-eye coordination, fine motor skills, and manual dexterity. • Ability to follow detailed instructions and learn quickly. • Ability to successfully complete written and hands-on training requirements. • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. • Willingness to learn and adapt to change. • U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance. • Willingness to work any assigned Monday–Friday 5x8 shift after training. • Willingness to successfully complete required certifications and performance expectations.
