Program Manager I, Data Center Maintenance, Google Data Centers

As a Program Manager at Google, you’ll lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish — working with stakeholders to plan requirements, manage project schedules, identify risks, and communicate clearly with cross-functional partners across the company. Your projects will often span offices, time zones, and hemispheres. It's your job to coordinate the players and keep them up to date on progress and deadlines. As a Data Center Maintenance Planner Program Manager, you will be responsible for the effective execution of all planning and scheduling of maintenance work. You will work with site supervisors and technicians to manage work priority, develop job plans, define parts and materials, define trades and crafts, and engage resources for a safe and efficient plan/schedule. Additionally, you will provide expertise on improving Preventive Maintenance (PM) and administer the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) program at the site level, including creating and updating equipment, PM, and safety records. The Data Center team designs and operates some of the most sophisticated electrical and HVAC systems in the world. Coordinate and deliver program communications in close collaboration with program stakeholders, including metrics progress, meeting notes, meeting AIs, decision/escalation logs, newsletters, and websites. Collect data relating to program progress from program stakeholders. Author program charter that addresses scope and timeline of basic program, specify program Objectives and Key Results (OKRs), and explain resource requirements/dependencies, in close collaboration with program stakeholders. Author stakeholder map that specifies who is impacted by, and who influences, program outcome in close collaboration with program stakeholders. Triage technical bugs and feature requests alongside engineering stakeholders for purposes of prioritization, resourcing, and tracking execution.

Minimum qualifications: Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience. 1 year of experience in program or project management. Experience in data center maintenance and operations. Experience with data analysis to inform program progress. Preferred qualifications: Experience planning and scheduling mission-critical facility maintenance. Experience with third-party computerized maintenance management system programs. Understanding of the operations and maintenance of electrical, control systems, and mechanical systems in a data center environment. Ability to develop strategic plans and forecasts.
