About the Role
Grade Level (for internal use): 09 The Team Transaction Management is a dynamic and highly collaborative team responsible for enabling and managing sales fulfillment processes for S&P Global Ratings' Commercial organization. Transaction Managers bring deep proficiency in data and systems management, a strong understanding of sales operations practices, and working knowledge of Ratings products — enabling effective support for the commercial organization throughout the transaction lifecycle. The team acts as a key link between Sales and internal stakeholders, ensuring Ratings-related transactions are executed accurately, efficiently, and in line with applicable policies, pricing guidance, and operational controls. The Impact and Responsibilities This role is instrumental in managing the full lifecycle of Ratings-related transactions through the onboarding, engagement, and billing processes for the Americas Commercial team. By ensuring transaction details are accurately captured, reviewed, and progressed through the appropriate systems and workflows, this role helps drive revenue realization, operational excellence, and a strong client experience. The role requires sound judgment, strong attention to detail, and a proactive approach to resolving issues, escalating risks, and supporting process improvements.
Responsibilities
Manage and support sales implementation processes, including order execution, accurate billing, and system entry to support revenue realization. Support reporting and identify relevant customer developments or trends to inform future commercial offerings. Collaborate with Sales and other Transaction Managers to manage the sales pipeline and resolve transactional customer queries effectively. Act as a bridge between Sales and key internal stakeholders, collaborating across functions to ensure timely and accurate transaction execution. Use data, systems, and reporting tools to identify issues, track progress, support decision-making, and contribute to continuous improvement across transaction management processes. Maintain a current understanding of relevant regulations, company policies, pricing strategies, and approval guidelines to support internal and external clients.
What We're Looking For
Basic Required Qualifications An S&P Global employee at this level would typically have 1+ years of relevant experience in client service or operations within financial services, sales operations, or a commercial support environment. Effective written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage clearly with clients, Sales colleagues, and cross-functional stakeholders across locations. Collaborative working style, with a proven ability to build productive working relationships and act as a reliable liaison between Sales and internal teams. Strong Excel skills, including proficiency in formulas, pivot tables, and data analysis functions to support accurate transaction tracking, reporting, and issue resolution. Portuguese: Required — Fluent (able to conduct meetings, collaborate effectively, and communicate clearly in writing and verbally). Language: English: Required — Fluent | Spanish: Preferred — Professional working proficiency Additional Preferred Qualifications Experience with Salesforce or similar Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems. Experience working with billing, order management, client onboarding, sales fulfillment, or CRM-based workflows in a financial services or professional services environment. Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities, maintain accuracy under deadlines, and apply sound judgment when escalating risks or resolving transaction-related issues.
Education
