Job Description
Ares is seeking an Associate to join the Technology Business Management team in New York. The role will support the Technology leadership team across strategic planning, workforce and headcount planning, resource and capacity management, executive reporting and communications, operating reviews, culture initiatives, and cross-functional coordination. This role is well suited for a highly analytical and organized professional who combines exceptional Microsoft Excel skills with strong PowerPoint capabilities and executive storytelling. The successful candidate will be able to synthesize complex data and business inputs, identify the key message, and translate analysis into concise, polished, decision-oriented materials for senior executives. The Associate will help translate strategic priorities into clear, business-friendly presentations and compelling executive narratives, using data and insights to tell a cohesive story that enables informed decision-making. The individual should be comfortable moving between detailed analysis and high-level strategic narratives in a fast-paced, global Technology environment. REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS Reports to: Technology Business Management Lead / COO Technology Office Supervises: n/a PRIMARY FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES • Support annual and multi-year strategic planning for Technology, helping translate leadership priorities into actionable plans, milestones, resource requirements, and management reporting. • Help maintain workforce and headcount analyses, including approved positions, actual headcount, open roles, hiring activity, attrition, location, organizational changes, and forward-looking workforce needs. • Support resource and capacity planning, office allocation strategy by analyzing demand, staffing, skills, location, and resource deployment across Technology teams and strategic initiatives. • Build sophisticated Excel models, analyses, trackers, and dashboards that turn workforce, financial, operational, and organizational data into actionable management insights. • Develop high-quality executive presentations for executive and senior leadership meetings, business reviews, strategy sessions, and other senior management forums. • Apply strong executive storytelling to convert complex analysis into clear narratives: what matters, why it matters, implications for the organization, and decisions or actions required. • Coordinate business and operating reviews, including agenda development, data collection, presentation preparation, action tracking, and follow-through with stakeholders. • Support executive and business communications, including leadership messages, organizational updates, town halls, talking points, and presentation materials. • Partner on Technology culture and engagement initiatives, including town halls, leadership events, recognition programs, employee engagement activities, and other efforts that strengthen connectivity across the organization. • Support leadership meeting cadence and governance, including ELT/SLT materials, meeting preparation, decision and action logs, and follow-up on commitments. • Identify opportunities to streamline recurring Business Management processes, improve data quality, standardize reporting, automate manual activities, and create scalable operating routines. • Support executive-facing and external
