Job Role and Responsibility: AMD, Inc., is hiring Silicon Design Engineer to Research, design, develop, and/or test electronic components and systems for semiconductor and related device manufacturing. Perform definition, design, verification, review, and/or documentation for ASIC development. Determine architecture design, logic design, and/or system simulation. Define module interfaces/formats for simulation. Contribute to the development of multidimensional designs involving the layout of complex integrated circuits. Work in an area of specialization to develop ASIC/layout design where analysis of data requires evaluation of identifiable factors. Develop ML-driven automation to explore large design spaces and identify optimal circuit and memory subsystem configurations. Analyze large-scale simulation data to evaluate latency, throughput, bandwidth, and performance metrics of memory and interconnect components. Build predictive performance models for early-cycle design validation. Run data driven diagnosis to detect the possible cause of the issue and work with design teams to develop solutions. Apply statistical methods to analyze the latency and throughput of circuits, ensuring that the design meets specifications and performance criteria. Utilize knowledge of computers and electronics, including circuit boards, processors, chips, and electronic equipment, as well as knowledge of design techniques, tools, and principles; Apply knowledge of engineering principles, best practices, and technologies to the design, development, and testing of various AMD products. Experience may be gained through graduate-level coursework, research, or internship experience.
