This role is in support of Cencora’s patient and provider support and pharma commercialization services in Canada marketed through our Innomar Strategies business. Employment is subject to verification of pre-employment screening tests, which may include drug screening and background check when permitted by state or local laws. We are growing, and we're looking for motivated individuals to join our pharmacy operations team in a brand-new entry-level role. Summary of Role: The Pharmacy Dispensing Assistant is a new entry-level position within our onsite Pharmacy team at Innomar. Prior pharmacy experience is an asset but not required. Working under the supervision of the Manager, Pharmacy Programs or Pharmacy Program Team Lead , this role is the foundation of our daily pharmacy workflow — keeping prescriptions moving, packages prepared, and our operations running smoothly. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who are interested in building a career in pharmacy or healthcare operations.
Responsibilities
Label medications accurately in accordance with established protocols and regulatory requirements. Prepare and process waybills and shipping documentation to support daily courier deadlines. Support inventory management activities, including receiving and stocking medications. Perform filing, scanning, and general administrative tasks to maintain accurate pharmacy records. Assist with delivery exception management and other logistics-related administrative tasks. Escalate discrepancies or issues to senior staff or pharmacy leadership in a timely manner. Support general housekeeping within the pharmacy environment. Assist with packing and shipping prescription orders according to established procedures. Contribute to a collaborative, patient-first team culture. Minimum Skills, Knowledge, and Ability Requirements: A genuine interest in pharmacy operations, healthcare, or logistics. Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow established procedures. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and meet daily deadlines. Effective written & verbal communication and interpersonal skills. Comfort working both independently and as part of a collaborative team. Previous experience in a pharmacy, warehouse, or healthcare setting is an asset — but not required. Completion of, or enrollment in, a pharmacy assistant program is considered an asset. As part of your job duties, you may be required to lift up to 50 lbs. The Pharmacy Dispensing Assistant role is designed with career development in mind.
