Job Description
Shift: Morning Schedule: 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM; Monday - Friday Pay rate: $19.00 Position Summary: Material Handlers move a variety of materials throughout the plant to and from production areas. They load/unload trailers and may be required to move product in and out of the curing warehouse (Hot Room) where temperatures reach up to 110° F. Material Handlers are responsible for excellent accuracy in shipping/receiving, safety, conducting quality checks, assisting with troubleshooting customer complaints and/or inventory issues. They may provide relief for breaks and general housekeeping of the machine and the surrounding area. They are responsible for other duties as assigned. Responsibilities:
Move material in and out of production areas, occasionally in tight spaces Be available to load and unload trailers in our Shipping area Maintain accurate production and inventory management documentation Learn the production processes in the area(s) you support to support production on occasion Maintain general housekeeping of the area(s) you support and the warehouse Wear required PPE Other duties as assigned Qualifications
High School diploma or equivalent Excellent demonstrated forklift driving experience (sit-down propane & 3+ years preferred) Good safety and attendance record Team-oriented and able to work well with others Availability for overtime and flexible shifts Ability to communicate respectfully and effectively Routinely sits for long periods, climbs on and off forklifts, stands, reaches, pushes, and pulls materials Frequently lifts up to 25 lbs, and routinely lifts up to 55 lbs Must be able to work in and out of a hot (up to 110° F) room routinely Willingness to learn and a solid grasp of mathematics Prior experience in a manufacturing and distribution environment is a strong plus
