Corporate Counsel, AWS Legal

Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking a talented attorney to play a pivotal role supporting the AWS Trust & Safety organization which is responsible for handling reports of abuse of AWS services. In this role, you will collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders including our Trust & Safety, Support, Security, Privacy, and Public Policy teams, as well as other Legal teams across AWS and Amazon. This role provides critical guidance establishing internal policies and processes to combat and prevent the use of AWS services for the proliferation of abusive activity and material. This role also supports the launch of new services, including AI services, aligned with trust and safety industry best practices and global digital services regulations. Key job responsibilities - Manage trust and safety issues such as policy development and case escalations - Support the launch of new products aligned with trust and safety best practices - Identify legal risks and propose mitigation strategies A day in the life In a typical day, you may lead or attend meetings with your business partners to provide legal counsel on case escalations, policy development or customer engagement. You may also provide guidance to the broader AWS Products legal team on trust and safety issues related to new product launches.

You will join a diverse legal team that covers a broad range of business organizations including Customer Support, Trust & Safety, and Training & Certifications. We work closely with business stakeholders from across multiple functions. You’ll be part of a collaborative legal team that values proactive partnership, creative problem-solving, and continuous improvement.
