A Day in the Life This role focuses on improving manufacturing operations by analyzing production workflows, designing efficient layouts and workstations, and optimizing use of equipment, space, and labor. It also involves conducting studies to reduce costs, improve inventory control, balance production lines, and support continuous improvement efforts. In addition, the role helps develop and implement capacity planning and business cases for growth, updates standard operating methods, supports safety and training programs, and may assist with facility planning and design. Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned. Analyzes and designs sequence of operations and work flow to improve efficiencies in plant and production facilities and equipment layouts; and establishes methods for maximum utilization of production facilities and personnel. May establish or assist in establishing accident prevention measures and may manage training programs for personnel concerning all phases of production operations. Conducts studies pertaining to cost control, cost reduction, inventory control, and production record systems. On the basis of these studies, develops and implements plans and programs for facility modifications and revisions to operating methods. May assist facilities engineers in the planning and design of facilities. TECHNICAL SPECIALIST CAREER STREAM: An individual contributor with responsibility in our technical functions to advance existing technology or introduce new technology and therapies. Formulates, delivers and/or manages projects assigned and works with other stakeholders to achieve desired results. May act as a mentor to colleagues or may direct the work of other lower level professionals. The majority of time is spent delivering R&D, systems or initiatives related to new technologies or therapies – from design to implementation - while adhering to policies, using specialized knowledge and skills. Required Knowledge and Experience: Requires a Baccalaureate degree and minimum of 2 years of relevant experience OR Master's degree with a minimum of 0 years relevant experience.
