**_About This Role_**

A Day in the Life of a Production Planner Intern:

+ Reviews Engineering and Manufacturing information such as new and revised designs, specifications, and bills of materials; production, tool, and test equipment drawings; manufacturing plans; operation and routing sheets

+ Conducts reviews, incorporate Quality planning, and provide approval for purchase requisitions, purchase orders, design drawings, parts, process plans, and discrete jobs \(shop orders\)

+ Monitors, reviews, analyzes, and interprets data/metrics to identify trends, failure modes, chronic/systemic failures, and process variation to improve Quality

+ Performs Quality engineering work requiring a high degree of technical competence

+ Performs work which involves conventional engineering practice and may include a variety of complex features such as conflicting design requirements, unsuitability of conventional materials, and difficult coordination requirements

+ Engages in daily communication and collaboration with Production to ensure Production leaders are aware of and taking appropriate measures to mitigate the future recurrence of their defects\.

+ Interfaces with all other engineering/integrated supply chain functions within the organization and on quality\-related issues

+ Performs other job\-related duties as assigned by management

**_Qualifications_**

Currently pursuing or have completed a bachelor’s degree in Quality Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field

Ability to plan, organize and manage multiple priorities efficiently

Ability to interact effectively with management, peers, and other employees relative to quality and technical issues

Self\-starter with the ability to work in a fast pace, deadline driven environment

Effective verbal and written communications skills

Basic Microsoft Office application skills with emphasis in MS Excel \(Power BI is a plus\)

This position requires an individual to be a U\.S citizen with the ability to obtain a security clearance\.
