About this role

Google Cloud Logistics (GCL) builds, runs and innovates Google’s Logistics Network to deliver equipment at speed, scale, efficiency and predictability in a sustainable and compliant manner through operational excellence. GCL enables Alphabet stakeholders and customers to predictably deliver the equipment that provides compute, storage, and networking capacity globally. We are committed to: Exceeding customer expectations through dependable and agile operations. Optimizing costs via strategic transportation and carrier management. Strengthening supply chain resilience by mitigating risks, diversifying suppliers, and leveraging real-time monitoring. Cultivating a culture of growth and opportunity. The AIC (Assembly and Integration Center) Operations Manager is responsible for the end-to-end operational execution, throughput, quality and standard processes of the AIC. Operating at the critical intersection of supply chain execution and technical infrastructure deployment, the AIC serves as the centralized pre-assembly hub for next-generation machine learning TPUs. In this role, you will lead third-party logistics (3PL) partners and cross-functional teams to ramp and sustain high-velocity assembly burst deployments, driving a culture of lean material and information flow while improving the cellular assembly process to improve quality output. Individual pay is determined by factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. US: $164000 - $239000 (USD) + 20% bonus target + equity + benefits Learn more about benefits at Google .

Manage the day-to-day 3PL partner operations, floor staging, and physical layout across the Atlanta Integration Center, overseeing labor forecasting and directing the scaling of floor personnel (including transitioning to 24/7 schedules during high-volume periods) to support burst deployments. Partner with industrial engineering and continuous improvement teams to define and implement lean cellular assembly layouts on the floor, develop new and improve existing visual management techniques, and improve standard operating procedures. Partner with Logistics, Material Planning, New Product Development, and Customer Demand Planning teams to synchronize component allocations with active floor capacity, proactively mitigating component or tray shortages before they impact the assembly line. Act as the primary operational point of contact with data center operations and Google Data Center engineering teams to align deployment schedules, resolve technical bottlenecks, and manage escalation.

Minimum qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (mechanical, industrial, manufacturing), Supply Chain, business, a related field, or equivalent practical experience. 10 years of experience in manufacturing, operations, or assembly. Experience implementing or optimizing assembly or manufacturing processes, shop floor standard work, and continuous improvement with a labor pool. Experience with lean or continuous improvement in Operations (e.g., TPS, PDCA, Kaizen, A3 thinking). Preferred qualifications: MBA or Master's degree. 10 years of experience in managing vendor and outsourced providers. Experience in designing for manufacturability and assembly. Knowledge of SQL, analytics and Operations Six Sigma certification (or other relevant operations coursework).

Strong business acumen and ability to facilitate discussions with senior stakeholders to obtain key decisions.
