Job Function: Supply Chain Engineering Job Sub Function: Process Engineering Job Category: People Leader All Job Posting Locations: Geel, Antwerp, Belgium Job Description: At Johnson & Johnson, we are shaping the future of pharmaceutical manufacturing. We are looking for an experienced MSAT people leader to drive technical excellence, innovation, and portfolio performance for Plant 4 at our Geel manufacturing site. Geel is the largest internal chemical manufacturing site for Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients (APIs) and Spray Dried Powders (SDPs) in the Johnson & Johnson network. The MSAT Sr. Manager Plant 4 coordinates process engineering resources in support of our portfolio in the Geel site, specific plant 4 and supports life cycle management strategies (launch and growth up to delisting), technical transfers, new process technology introductions, process improvements, cost improvement project portfolio management, and overall performance tracking. This position strongly contributes to the global Synthetic Molecule, Drug Substance (SM DS) MSAT strategy and the productivity performance of the Geel site and plant 4 in specific. The Lead is a team member of Geel site MSAT leadership team and is expected to have a strong cross functional collaboration mindset. The key responsibilities are as follows:
Key Responsibilities
Lead a team of Geel based process engineers to represent MSAT and the portfolio in Plant 4 in Geel Take accountability as a single point of contact for all MSAT activities within the scope of Plant 4. Provide resources, strategic and technical leadership to deliver the MSAT service to meet the Geel site goals, including technical assessments, process improvements and site transfers, all in close collaboration with the global process technical owners and the Geel site production organization Deliver technical support in partnership with Quality on any regulatory audits and inspections. Partner with production on project oversight as well as day-to-day support (e.g. lead complex investigations, escalations). Monitor process and product performance, based on Continuous Process Verification (CPV) Works together with the other MSAT leads to optimize performance, share knowledge as to deliver value through enhanced collaboration. Translate the global MSAT and SM DS platform strategy into G&O’s for the site based team. Works with global technology, data and development expert functions to define and design innovative solutions for optimized synthesis processes. Takes a frontrunner role with the team on digitalization and data related initiatives to optimize or transform our current way or working within MSAT at the Geel sites. This includes supporting the introduction of data analytical tools, automatic reporting solutions, digital twins, PAT introductions, RTR and others. Create a dynamic and empowered team, strong in cross functional collaboration and assuring flexibility across the Geel site.
