Job Summary
The CAD Drafter is primarily responsible for drafting and blueprint creation, technical order entry, document control, computer system/database management and some methods/routing documentation maintenance. Essential Functions: Proactively supports a culture of safety and quality as top organizational priorities. Actively participates in ongoing training initiatives and collaborates with team members and leadership to share information in a structured process. Create working drawings for all stages of the component build process Create working drawings from the measurement of solid customer samples Maintain daily part revisions throughout the entire drawing and database system Assist in the creation, revision and modification of part routings Control all drawings within document control system and protocols Assist in the continuous updating and upgrading of MRP system Other engineering and administrative duties and projects as assigned Required Qualifications: At least an Associate’s Degree in STEM-related discipline or equivalent work experience 2-4 years of experience with Solidworks software or similar Proficiency with blueprint drawing using Solidworks or equivalent Familiarity with blueprint reading, drawing and tolerancing disciplines Familiarity with 3D Viewing, imaging, and drawing of complex geometries Proficient in basic math including algebra, geometry, and trigonometry Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Powerpoint Basic knowledge or relational databases Strong communication and writing skills Ability to work with other team members at all corporate levels Ability to work independently in a self-motivated fashion Strong organizational skills with high functioning work prioritization and time management Ability to multitask and handle stressful work deadlines Preferred Qualifications: 4+ Years drafting experience Hands-on experience with manufacturing Hands-on experience with measurement systems Total Rewards: This position offers a compensation range of $ 61,200 - $91,800 annually and may be eligible for performance-based bonus plan, which is consistent with the organization’s compensation philosophy and market data. Initial salaries are not typically placed at the top of the range; progression toward the upper end is based on performance and demonstrated proficiency.
