Role description: For our Project Management Team Technology in the Places Business Unit, we are looking for a dedicated Senior Electrical Project Manager (f/m/d) to support data center construction projects. The position is located within our global Places business unit. Role accountabilities: As a Senior Electrical Project Manager (f/m/d), you take full operational responsibility for the planning, coordination, and execution of electrical infrastructure in demanding data center projects. You ensure that electrical systems are designed to be reliable, energy-efficient, and redundant, while fully complying with all safety-related and regulatory requirements. In this role, you combine technical expertise with pragmatic project management: leading teams, managing interfaces with other disciplines, and ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
Coordinate and manage the planning and design of electrical systems in data centers, ensuring efficiency, redundancy, and the highest safety standards. Lead, motivate, and technically guide a team of engineers and technicians to develop innovative solutions for electrical infrastructure. Develop, review, and approve electrical designs for data centers and other critical facilities, incorporating energy-efficient technologies and current industry trends. Collaborate closely with architects, mechanical/MEP engineers, and other specialists to deliver integrated, holistic design solutions. Ensure compliance with all relevant standards, technical regulations, and safety requirements (e.g., VDE, IEC, NFPA 70E, DIN EN50600). Manage budgets, resource planning, and monitor costs, schedules, and quality; provide regular reports to management and stakeholders. Coordinate planning and implementation within multidisciplinary teams and liaise with external service providers, suppliers, and contractors. Support the construction phase by overseeing tests, commissioning (FAT/SAT), inspections, and handover to the operator. Identify risks, initiate countermeasures, and contribute to value engineering measures to optimize cost and performance.
