Job Description
The Field Service Engineer is the technical expert responsible for helping customers install, start up, maintain industrial automation systems throughout their lifecycle. The Field Service Engineer provides customer support through the performance of on-site installation, and overseeing any necessary diagnoses, troubleshooting, service, and repair of complex equipment and systems. Checks out and approves operational quality of system equipment. Instruct customers in the operation and maintenance of the system. Be a company liaison with customers on administrative and technical matters for assigned projects. You will report to the Regional Business Manager Lifecycle Services, Andean Region. Main responsibilities: • Configuration, commissioning, maintenance, diagnostics, and troubleshooting of Rockwell Automation software and hardware products. • Provide technical support to customers during planned or emergency engineering services. • Resolve technical issues related to Rockwell Automation products. • Check out and approve operational quality of system equipment. • Instruct customers in the operation and maintenance of the system. • Be a company liaison with customers on administrative and technical matters for assigned projects. • Learning in Rockwell Automation products and technologies. • Prepare technical reports on what has been done during the services • Complete administrative tasks such as expense and time reports (Weekly) • Participate in the training processes provided by our organization. The Essentials – You Will Have • Bachelor's degree in Electronics, Electrical, Mechatronics, System Engineering or related area. • English in a good communicative level, both spoken and written • Travel up to 70% of the time, which can include both domestic and international trips. The Preferred – You Might Also Have • Typically, 5 years of related experience. • Prior experience in industrial automation • Customer service experience. • Technical knowledge of Control / Network / Power • Programming Experience with Rockwell Automation Products.• • Understand Change Management principles. • Hands-on facilitation of large end-to-end value streams. • Capability of Managing Multiple Priorities. • Leads cross-functional projects. • Ability to work with cross functional teams and multicultural teams. • Work with Global & Regional Teams and local stakeholders to implement improvements (tools, best practices, compliance, and procedures). • Comply with Global policies, standards, procedures, and protocols.
