Location/Division Specific Information: Rockford, Illinois How Will You Make an Impact?: An advanced position within the Fill department that requires an operating knowledge of complex dispensing and filtration equipment. These individuals will serve as role models and set the example for less experienced technicians. They will assist the technicians, supervisors, and the manager in daily workflow. In addition, this individual will be expected to develop working relationships with other departments such as packaging, planning, quality assurance, etc. While this individual’s priority will be filling product they will be expected to implement continuous improvements within the department. A Day in the Life: Set up and operate an assortment of dispensing equipment. This equipment would include fully automated filling lines Ability to process jobs utilizing less complex equipment – pipetters, peristaltic pumps, , automated labelers, etc. Complete required paperwork related to the department Display knowledge of raw materials, staging, work-in-process, storage areas, production steps, and the general ability to process jobs independently Ability to accurately describe machine failure(s) to appropriate department for trouble shooting purposes Ability to conduct in process quality control inspection of finished goods Completion of metrology work orders as assigned including; calibration and preventative maintenance of filling equipment, balances, etc. Ability to wear Personal Protective Equipment when required. This may include using a full-face respirator Bring forth departmental improvement initiatives by utilizing Lean, Six Sigma, or 5S initiatives Ability to act and think independently Education: (NA or APAC) High school diploma or equivalent required.
Education
(EMEA) High School Diploma, Secondary Education, Advanced Certificate, or equivalent. (***If a Degree or specific Apprenticeship or Technical Certification is required please modify the first sentence and add the specifics here***) Experience: Required: Minimum of 1 year of work experience in a manufacturing, operations, production, lab setting or related field Preferred: Experience in a cGMP environment Knowledge, Skills, Abilities: Experience in a manufacturing environment utilizing filling equipment, preferred Experience with continuous improvement concepts, preferred—i.e. Lean, Six Sigma, 5S, etc. Mechanical aptitude, preferred Individual should be able to handle working in a fast paced environment Must be able to work within a team towards common goals Must be able to work independently Ability to work in a variety of environments, including a controlled environment (clean room, etc) Basic PC skills Good verbal and written communication skills Basic Knowledge of the metric
