The Transmission & Distribution (T&D) Engineering team in UK & Europe provides a range of services from the initial concept through Power Systems Analysis, Cabling, Substations, Transmission and Distribution Infrastructure, System Balancing and Compensation, Protection Systems, SCADA, Communications, Overhead Line designs for the grid modernization, battery storage, data centre projects.

Due to continued growth across a breadth of projects and clients in the Netherlands, we are looking for an Technical Lead to join the Transmission & Distribution business. As a Technical Lead T&D at AECOM Netherlands, you will be responsible for the successful delivery of medium to high voltage (>110kV) electrical systems, substation, grid connection and powerline projects from inception to completion. Leveraging your strong electrical engineering background and project leadership skills, you will oversee all technical aspects of project execution, ensuring compliance with industry standards, client requirements, and safety regulations. Key Responsibilities Lead the design, engineering, and delivery of Grid modernization, high voltage substation, renewables, Battery Storage and powerline projects (>110kV) from concept through commissioning support. Coordinate multidisciplinary teams, including engineers, designers, and external stakeholders, including AECOM global teams to ensure seamless project execution. Act as Technical lead for multi-disciplinary design projects, overseeing various disciplines, including substation primary, cables, protection & control, civils, overhead lines, and environmental scopes. Develop and review technical specifications, drawings, and documentation in line with project and regulatory requirements. Oversee the site installation and commissioning works Oversee the network modelling and related power system studies Provide technical guidance and mentorship to project team members, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement. Oversee project planning, scheduling, and resource allocation to meet project milestones and deliverables.
