Role Purpose The Manufacturing Technician supports manufacturing operations related to glass cutting, material handling, and insulated glass unit production. This role is responsible for operating and monitoring automated cutting equipment, supporting material flow, inspecting product quality, assisting with basic troubleshooting, and helping ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality production. The position also supports SOP development, operator training, and adherence to process control, audit, safety, and quality requirements. Key Responsibilities

Operate and monitor automated glass cutting equipment to cut glass to required dimensions and specifications Support equipment setup, adjustments, and basic troubleshooting to maintain safe and efficient operation Receive, move, load, and stage raw glass using forklifts, lift-assist devices, and other material handling equipment Perform manual separation of cut glass from mother sheets while minimizing breakage and maximizing yield Support IGU production through staging, sequencing, assembly preparation, and movement of materials through downstream operations Inspect raw glass, in-process materials, and finished IGUs for defects, dimensional issues, and other quality concerns Document and communicate equipment, process, and quality issues to supervisors and support teams Assist with packaging, crate building, and staging finished product for shipment Partner with operations, engineering, maintenance, and quality teams to support process improvements, equipment performance, and product quality Develop, update, and maintain SOPs, work instructions, and operating documentation related to glass cutting and IGU production Support process audits, layered audits, and compliance checks to ensure adherence to operating procedures, safety standards, and quality requirements Assist in onboarding and qualification of new employees by providing hands-on instruction and process guidance Train and support operators and other team members on equipment operation, standard work, safe material handling, and process requirements

Experiences/Education - Required

High school diploma or GED Experience in a manufacturing environment
