Google's Data Center Compliance, Strategy, and Risk Management (CSRM) team is integrated across all stages of the data center lifecycle. CSRM is dedicated to protecting the people and assets of Google’s global critical infrastructure. By leveraging advanced security systems, dedicated guarding forces, and risk management and compliance frameworks, CSRM supports the entirety of Google Data Centers (GDC), enabling Google Cloud to reach a broader audience and inspire user trust. As the Director of Data Center Operational Technology (OT) Security, you will define and execute the global direction, strategy, and governance for securing Google’s physical and operational data center infrastructure. You will lead a high-impact organization responsible for proactively identifying, quantifying, and mitigating complex enterprise-wide cyber and physical threats across critical systems. Serving as a strategic executive partner, you will align cross-functional leadership across Technical Infrastructure, Cloud CISO, and engineering organizations to build next-generation secure architectures, drive industry standards, and safeguard Google Cloud’s global footprint at scale. Define and direct multi-year security architectures, risk quantification models, and defense-in-depth frameworks for global OT systems, rack-level environments, and critical facilities. Establish governance mechanisms and executive accountability across GDC, Cloud CISO, Corporate Engineering, and PSS to deliver unified, end-to-end security architectures. Build, scale, and inspire a global organization of technical managers, engineers, and program leaders. Foster a culture of technical excellence, continuous learning, psychological safety, and leadership. Serve as the principal advisor to business and engineering executives on emerging OT, cyber, and infrastructure threats, steering multi-year roadmaps and investment strategies to proactively protect critical assets.
Minimum qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline or equivalent practical experience. 15 years of experience in technical infrastructure, industrial control systems (e.g., ICS/SCADA), or cyber security engineering, including 7 years of experience in executive leadership, managing teams. 15 years of experience leading technical security programs, risk governance, or critical infrastructure engineering organizations. Preferred qualifications: Advanced degree (e.g., Master’s degree or PhD) in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Cyber Security, or a related technical discipline. 20 years of experience leading enterprise-scale OT, ICS/SCADA, and cyber security initiatives across global industrial or critical infrastructure environments. Executive experience deploying zero-trust or defense-in-depth models across large-scale physical/cyber infrastructure environments. Ability to navigate high
