Enterprise Automation Specialist (Ansible/AWX/AAP) – 10-14 Yrs – Pune/Bangalore Location About the Team The Enterprise Platform Engineering team is responsible for delivering scalable, secure, and resilient automation capabilities across global infrastructure environments. The team drives infrastructure modernization, operational excellence, and enterprise-wide automation adoption through industry-leading automation and DevOps practices.
What You Will Be Doing
Lead the architecture, engineering, governance, and lifecycle management of Ansible Automation Platform (AAP), AWX , and enterprise automation solutions. Design, develop, and maintain scalable automation frameworks for infrastructure provisioning, configuration management, patching, compliance, and operational workflows. Drive Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices and automation standards across enterprise platforms. Develop and maintain advanced automation solutions using Python, PowerShell, Bash, and other scripting technologies. Integrate automation platforms with enterprise tools including ServiceNow, monitoring solutions, cloud platforms, infrastructure management systems, and REST APIs. Establish automation governance, coding standards, Git workflows, branching strategies, CI/CD pipelines, and platform best practices. Lead platform upgrades, troubleshooting, performance tuning, resiliency improvements, and disaster recovery initiatives. Implement and manage security controls including RBAC, secrets management, compliance, and audit requirements. Partner with infrastructure, cloud, security, application, and operations teams to identify automation opportunities and drive modernization programs. Mentor engineers and provide technical leadership on automation strategy, architecture, and operational excellence. Leverage AI and Copilot technologies to accelerate automation development, testing, troubleshooting, documentation, and knowledge sharing. What You Bring 10+ years of experience in Infrastructure Engineering, Platform Engineering, DevOps, Automation, or Systems Engineering. 5+ years of hands-on experience with Ansible, AWX, or Red Hat Ansible Automation Platform. Strong hands-on development experience using Python, PowerShell, Bash, and Shell scripting. Proven experience leading enterprise-scale automation initiatives and platform operations. Experience delivering large-scale infrastructure modernization and automation transformation programs. Strong knowledge of Windows and Linux operating systems, virtualization technologies, networking, and cloud infrastructure. Deep understanding of Infrastructure as Code (IaC), automation frameworks, and configuration management principles. Extensive experience designing, deploying, upgrading, operating, and troubleshooting enterprise-scale automation platforms. Strong proficiency with GitHub, Git branching strategies, code review processes, and CI/CD methodologies. Experience integrating automation solutions with REST APIs, ServiceNow, monitoring platforms, infrastructure tools, and cloud services. Experience implementing platform resiliency, observability, disaster recovery, security controls, RBAC, and secrets management solutions. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and solution architecture capabilities. Excellent communication, stakeholder management, collaboration, and mentoring skills. Ability to effectively leverage AI-assisted development tools and Copilot technologies. Nice-to-Have Skills Red Hat OpenShift and Kubernetes administration experience. Terraform and Infrastructure as Code tooling expertise. Experience with Azure, AWS, or GCP cloud platforms. Hands-on experience with ServiceNow, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, and DevOps toolchains. Knowledge of Observability platforms, Enterprise Monitoring, High Availability (HA), Disaster Recovery (DR), and Platform Operations.
