Job Description
Gilead Sciences is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst- FP&A Clinical Studies to join our Oncology Program Finance FP&A R&D finance team in Foster City, CA. In this role, you will partner closely with the Oncology Therapeutic Area Clinical Operations team, and Finance colleagues to provide financial planning, forecasting, reporting, and analytical support for clinical study spend. You will help drive budgeting and forecasting processes, perform financial analyses, support month-end close activities, and provide insights to support business decision-making. As a Senior Financial Analyst - FP&A Clinical Studies, at Gilead you will ... Partner with Finance Colleagues, Clinical Operations, and cross-functional stakeholders to provide financial support and analysis for clinical study spend. Support the month-end close process, including accrual reviews, variance analysis, and reporting. Assist in the preparation of forecasts, latest estimates, annual budgets, and long-range plans. Develop and maintain financial models to support resource planning, study forecasting, and business decision-making. Prepare monthly, periodic, and other ad hoc management reports, analytics, and presentations. Analyze budget versus actual results and communicate key drivers, risks, and opportunities to Finance and business partners. Support financial analysis related to development programs and external collaborations as required. Assist in the development and enhancement of reporting tools, financial models, and planning processes. Ensure compliance with company policies, internal controls, and financial reporting requirements. Participate in process improvement initiatives to enhance planning, forecasting, and reporting efficiency Perform ad hoc analyses and special projects as needed.
