Job Description
AECOM is seeking an experienced Project Manager - Transmission Line, HVDC & Substation to lead the successful delivery of transmission line, HVDC terminal station, and substation packages as part of a large-scale power infrastructure program. The role is responsible for managing all aspects of project execution, including safety, quality, schedule, cost, stakeholder coordination, risk management, and contractual compliance. The successful candidate will provide leadership across multidisciplinary teams and maintain effective engagement with clients, EPC contractors, authorities, OEMs, consultants, and project stakeholders to ensure successful project outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
Project Leadership & Delivery Lead the complete project lifecycle for transmission line, HVDC terminal station, and substation packages. Establish project execution plans, delivery strategies, governance structures, and communication protocols. Mobilize and manage project resources to meet program objectives and contractual requirements. Ensure project delivery is aligned with approved scope, schedule, budget, quality standards, and safety requirements. Manage project interfaces between civil, structural, electrical, mechanical, protection, SCADA, telecommunications, and commissioning activities. Stakeholder & Client Management Serve as the primary point of contact between the Client, Consultant, EPC Contractors, OEMs, regulatory bodies, and key stakeholders. Lead project governance meetings and maintain effective stakeholder communication throughout project execution. Provide technical and commercial advice to the Client regarding project challenges, risks, and opportunities. Manage stakeholder expectations and facilitate timely resolution of project issues. Schedule, Cost & Commercial Management Review and monitor contractor schedules, procurement plans, construction methodologies, and resource deployment plans. Oversee project budgets, cost forecasting, change management, and contract administration activities. Review contractor claims, variation requests, extension-of-time applications, and change orders. Monitor project cash flow, milestone achievements, certification processes, and payment approvals. Support contract negotiations and dispute avoidance initiatives. Technical & Engineering Oversight Review key engineering deliverables, technical submissions, constructability studies, and design interfaces. Monitor design development and ensure compliance with project specifications, standards, and regulatory requirements. Coordinate multidisciplinary reviews and ensure timely resolution of design and technical issues. Support commissioning planning, energization readiness, and project handover activities. Risk, Quality & HSE Management Maintain an active project risk register and ensure implementation of mitigation measures. Lead regular project reviews covering technical, commercial, contractual, quality, and HSE performance. Ensure project compliance with approved Quality Management Systems and HSE requirements. Promote a culture of safety excellence and proactive risk
