Agency: Omd Job Function: Media Job Subfunction: Media Planning and Buying Job Description: *Location: Open to both NY and CHI OMD Senior Associate, Video Investment Overview: The Senior Associate, Video manages day-to-day activities of all buying needs – negotiate, implement and monitor buys for clients. The Senior Associate, Video acts as the liaison between broadcast stations (network and cable)/digital video partners, vendors, and clients. He/She/They manages the preparation, development, execution and stewardship of media buys as well as oversees client integrations and added value opportunities. Also accountable for supporting the team and ensuring buys are executed in a timely and efficient manner.
Qualifications
Strong knowledge of buying systems and marketplace intelligence Four-year college degree 1.5+ years previous media buying experience Proven analytical and communication skills Proven prioritizing skills Able to work under pressure while meeting deadlines Donovan (DDS)/MediaOcean and Prisma Experience Digital Video experience; as well as linear, CTV, and YouTube. Advance level of proficiency with Microsoft Word for Windows and Excel DSP knowledge a plus, not a requirement Responsibilities: Manage client relationships Present buys and post-analysis Update planning team on status of client projects Manage the negotiation, presentation, and implementation of national television and cable schedules and digital video buys. Alert clients of market place shifts that affect future buys. Follow buying guidelines to establish goals. Monitors schedules requesting upgrades and bonus for make-goods and discrepancies. Allocate market funds across stations/groups. Advise client(s) of fluctuations in the marketplace. Evaluate media opportunities and make proper recommendations. Facilitate good relations and flow of ideas with the sales management contacts. Assure that all buys for their accounts deliver the media strategy and investment specification. Maintain accurate records of buys, budgets, revisions, credits, etc. Manage and monitor clearance of discrepancies and accounting functions for their particular accounts on a timely basis. Monitor ratings and cost trends in assigned markets. #LI-CP1
